With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

I never wrote reviews before. This is fabulous. Anything that cannot be captured can be recorded (directly from stream) and automatically combined. This is THE ONLY IDEA THAT WORKS UNIVERSALLY! You should charge this extension and I'll happy to pay for it. So fxxking awesome!

Didn't work. Opened instructions in a new tab but they are unclear. It says when the Download button is disabled: "In such cases, you can still download the video with the capture mode by clicking the action button." I have no clue what they are even talking about.. what action button?? On top of that, it crashed my browser. Had to remove the extension completely to make my browser functional again.
Fails to record HLS streams, a supposed HLS stream recorder. Also, a "Delete Cache" button is severely missing. I was unable to figure out, how to delete the cache of the badly recorded junk, so that I could start a clean record of the same stream.
Videos where even developer tools failed, this extension came to rescue. Deserves more than 5 stars tbh.
