This is incredible! Integrations with official content? Ton of free maps? Animated Maps!?! Honestly the only thing missing is a search feature for the insane number of free maps available (official dnd beyond ones are super easy to use, pick the book, pick the chapter, bam, maps). So glad someone is doing this!

So I discovered AboveVTT a few months ago and have been able to use it in my campaign. Because my brother was so impressed as a player, he adopted it for his campaign. It's easy to use and I love the markers and aura features. I'm excited for future features! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to play D&D remotely. As it grows and matures, it will be the go-to VTT for anyone using dndbeyond.

This is an absolutely brilliant VTT. Easy to use for players and just as easy to use for me as a DM. I was using DnD Beyond at first and then added Owlbear as a VTT (which is also brilliant). But I found myself switching a lot between Owlbear and DnD Beyond which was slowing me down. AboveVTT is just as easy to use, but integrates so well with DnD Beyond that I can do it all from 1 window. I'm blown away by just how quick it is to set up an encounter from scratch; adding a map from the huge list of linked ones or one of my own, align a grid to it, add monsters and the party. And it's ready to go in just a few minutes.

This really is a must have if you want a simple way to integrate a VTT with D&D Beyond. I have experience with other VTTs like Roll20 and Foundry, and Above VTT is far more user friendly than either. Using this extension has significantly reduced my prep time for games. The developer is consistently adding new features and I highly recommend supporting them on Patreon.
