Really impressed with this. As long as you have content on D&DBeyond, this is a great way to run online games with features which much more mature and costly VTTs don't have.

An amazing system to use for both short and long sessions! Its also updated on a monthly basis by an active community so LOTS of potential for longevity. Give it some time and Above VTT can rival the big boys like Roll 20

I'm blatantly steal Garrett's reply because it is spot on. "Garrett PolsonMar 22, 2021 Above VTT still in early development, so there are still plenty of features that would make it easier to use, but I still give it 5 stars because: 1) It's free, 2) It has a low learning curve, 3) It's convenient for someone like me who relies on D&D Beyond, 4) Even at this stage of development, it does almost everything I need it to. Above VTT conveniently integrates with D&D Beyond so well that it makes accessing stats and characters sheets quick and easy. Rolling for monsters is also very convenient and well-executed" The only thing I will add is that I loaded the program around noon on a Saturday and ran my battle maps for a home session that started at 6 that evening. The learning curve for this is amazingly easy if you are already using D&D Beyond. I won't say the first session was seamless but I loved it and the players loved it. Thanks Above VTT!

This is fantastic thankyou thankyou. I'm so glad the community made this VTT for DDB. you guys have done an amazing job and I hope DDB buys it off you for a ton of money and then puts in charge of the team to build DDB's VTT. Great work and again thankyou!

It is barely in Alpha/Beta and it is already as good as Roll20. It will be a powerful and fun VTT once it is done. Also, being completely integrated with D&D Beyond just takes it to a whole other level. I have the Legendary bundle which means I have ALL D&D 5e content, and have paid alot to have it. This way I don't have to invest anymore money on buying any more material like I would with Roll20 or Fantasy or any other VTT. So far it has been a very intuituve and simple process to start adding my maps and such to the Above VTT. Took me a couple of minutes max to set up a combat scene. Good job Above Team keep up the amazing work.

D&D Beyond has a great character sheet but they don't have a VTT. This tool solves that problem brilliantly and is quite approachable for just about any group.
