Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!
This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.
Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.
You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.
The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

Wish you can use 'Communities' with this extension.
Extension page: >The developer has disclosed that it will not collect or use your data. Update notes: >To update the extension "Old Twitter Layout (2024)", you must confirm, due to new permissions: Read and change your data on all twimg.com sites and twimg.com Opera. Might be nothing but it feels kinda sus. Will stick to the old version until this gets cleared up.

Awesome, UI, kinda wish the Delete all bookmarks button has an are you sure option, cause having it really close to the "Remove this bookmark" button has made me lose a month worth of stuff...
Awesome extension, not only reverts the old Twitter design, but also adds a few quality features like video downloading, as well as filtering out ads, the custom CSS profile customization is also super neat!
It's now certain. I can see likes on certain posts, not all of them now. Why is this?
I hate X. I hate using X and I hate calling it X. This is a must have for anyone who is tired of god awful and ugly bland corporate minimalist logos and phone app UI. There is only one problem with it and I hope the dev reads this because I'm too lazy to make a github account. Can you possibly readd the ability to add gifs to your post? I know it's a new feature but it's one of the only GOOD ones that the website implimented. It makes replying so much easier. I would love to see it in a future update
