Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!
This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.
Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.
You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.
The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

One or two small things missing, but otherwise, as a casual user, it's the only thing that makes twitter usable today. Minus this I'd hate to follow any link there.

it makes everything simple nicer and cleaner and has good settings and customization and even better no lag like the new ui gives that's a real plus

I have the issue that, when I want to edit my profile, a new tab opens and defaults me to the modern version of Twitter(/settings/profile?newtwitter=true). From a friend who is using the extension for quite a while now, I know this is not supposed to happen, but I can't seem to be able to deduce what is causing this issue.
probably the only good thing about using chrome is that i can use this. i think someone should make a version for every design change like the original twitter or the 2009 twitter too
Quite useless, layout is too small for modern screens, dark theme is ugly. IF it could return ONLY media tab to pre-Musk state...
Atualização automática do feed é absurdamente bom e poder ver likes dos perfis seguidos em meio ao feed também. Só gostaria que a aba de mídia fosse como é hoje, mostrando uma grade ao invés de postagens separadas, e que desse para ver a capa do perfil inteira (o formato de exibição acaba cortando a parte de cima e de baixo da imagem)
