As a Japanese dictionary, rikaikun helps you look up the only the words you don't know without losing your place. It's also useful for Japanese speakers wanting to know how to say Japanese phrases in English.
Features:
* Using shift or enter, switch between word, names, and Kanji dictionaries.
* Enable text to speech in the options to hear Japanese words you look up spoken out load.
* Press 'c' to copy the current word and definitions to the clipboard for making flash cards.
* Customize how the pop up dictionary looks and what content it shows.

Very helpful, but when I type text and go over it to make sure I used the correct kanji it will sometimes delete the words I wrote. Other than that it works well.

I just noticed the new settings page, and so the names dictionary! Now I don't have to consider going back to using Firefox. Cheers!
I can't surf the web without using rikaikun!~ It is great. I haven't used rikaichan before so I can't compare the two.

It's a great tool! It would be nice if there were more languages available like in the Mozilla Ad on Rikaichan though.
2 stars just because it the VERY MINIMUM. rikaikun fails in comparison to rikaichan. Development for this app is dead since September 2013 and any hope of improvements are now gone unless you want to update it yourself. As for why the low score, rikaikun cannot recognize names, places, and other essentials. Many options were not implemented and is unresponsive at many times. My advice to people reading my review is to either learn almost everything yourself and only use rikaikun as a undependable guide OR go to firefox's rikaichan.
