- The extension requires authentication to Salesforce's service via OAuth2. It uses refresh tokens, CSRF token exchange, and session management to connect to the user's Salesforce org. The code shows login URLs for various Salesforce environments (login.salesforce.com, test.salesforce.com, etc.) and an AUTH_PATH for authentication. Revising my review as I'm guessing it's not rendering for me because I'm not using a Gmail work account. Will update after I test with that type of account.

This appis fantastic. The functionality is super close to what you get out of Salesforce for Outlook.

Very useful tool to save a ton of time relating things to SF from email! Much improved from previous versions that used to use up way too much memory. Still does not pull up Custom Objects properly. In the Lightning App Builder it gives you an option for "Other Related Records", however when you put that on layout, it does not pull your Custom Objects (that have the email address filled in) in the SF pain of GMail - only Contacts and Accounts.
I did have to contact Salesforce support to activate "Enable Enhanced Email with Lightning for Gmail" (to enable the "relate" functionality). After that, very happy with the functionality!
Hi Carlos, Great work with the extension. Would it be possible to please implement the following - 1) Support Person Accounts. Unfortunately, it's rendering the contact record by default. You can choose the Account record too, but not Person Account layout. 2) Ability to access Salesforce Templates and select the record(s) to merge fields. Ie Select the person (are whoever is in the lightning sidebar by default) and then the Case, Opportunity or Custom Object to relate and merge the template fields. Similar to Cirrus Insight. 3) Mouse-over email lookup. It would be great if you could hover the mouse over the email address and it searches the Lightning sidebar automatically for the Person/Contact/Account. Especially useful when replying through an email ticketing system where the email isn't associated with the record in Salesforce. Would save having to copy/paste and search salesforce each time before replying. Thanks! EDIT: Please allow 1. Auto sync of emails to Salesforce. 2. When using an email template, please do not delete the email signature from Gmail. 3. Force load the salesforce sidebar when opening mailto: emails in new tabs. Thank you!
