AI 产品解读Sales Cloud Everywhere - A Chrome extension that provides direct access to Salesforce CRM records, tasks, and engagement alerts within Gmail and Google Calendar
Eliminates the need for sales professionals to constantly switch between their email/calendar and Salesforce.com, allowing them to work on deals and update CRM records without leaving their current browser context
User installs extension and authenticates with their Salesforce account. As they browse Gmail or the web, the extension shows a side panel with Salesforce tasks, engagement alerts, and records. They can update CRM data, respond to leads, and manage tasks without navigating to Salesforce.com.

- Sales professionals and sales representatives / Salesforce Sales Cloud users / Sales teams using Gmail and Google Calendar
- The static analysis heuristic flagged 'subscription/subscribe' keywords as paid signals, but these are false positives related to push notification subscriptions, not monetization.
- Salesforce Sales Cloud pricing is not visible in the extension code but is a paid enterprise service - the extension itself is free.
- No login UI was found in the extension files examined - authentication likely occurs via redirects to Salesforce's OAuth flow.

The 'subscription' and 'subscribe' keywords found in the codebase are related to web push notification subscriptions (PushSubscription API, VAPID keys), NOT paid/monetization subscriptions. The extension itself does not contain payment processing, billing APIs, premium feature gating, or upgrade prompts. While Salesforce Sales Cloud itself is a paid enterprise SaaS product, the extension is a free client that connects to existing Salesforce accounts - the paid aspect is at the destination service level, not in the extension itself.

- The extension requires authentication to Salesforce's service via OAuth2. It uses refresh tokens, CSRF token exchange, and session management to connect to the user's Salesforce org. The code shows login URLs for various Salesforce environments (login.salesforce.com, test.salesforce.com, etc.) and an AUTH_PATH for authentication. Without a valid Salesforce account and authentication, the extension cannot function.
It's great. You install it as a plugin and it creates a little side window that collapses out of view easily. When you finish an email, you can go to the window and it has already found the associated people in your SFDC records, as well as associated Opportunities. You check boxes on which ones you want to associate this email to, and it updates everything in the background. You can check your tasks, look up records, and it even has an auto-update reminder feature - so you can keep the "side-car window" closed, and it will just pop up a more centralized form that shows you who will be associated if you want and which opportunities - again with full control and checkboxes. The "bonkiest" part of it is when it times out (usually overnight) because SFDC has logged you out. The little window shows a red-X so you know, and all you have to do is click the plugin icon in the upper right and re-login, or (if you've logged in already directly to SFDC) just hard reload the page and pow, it's working again. Good little widget that packs a very powerful punch. I am a tech and hate bad code ... this is not bad code.
Very useful to track information on SalesForce, few bugs on the road but in general a very good extension to use SalesForce at its best!
Great extension, however I would prefer to only use the chrome sidebar and not the gmail app, because it takes space in gmail. Is it possible to turn off the bar in gmail and use the chrome sidebar only?
I really appreciate the integration of Salesforce with Chrome. Without it, I'm sure I'd log a fraction of the interactions I do. Still have some technical glitches around logging sometimes - having to sign in to Salesforce again to get the link to work, or having to leave the email and go back in and manually choose to log. But usually it works just fine.
Just downloaded. Looks great overall. The preview photos make it look like it can be a standalone page vs it being in the side panel. Is this true?
The extension is pretty good, though it does freeze or disconnect a lot. Reloading the page usually fixes it, but it can be glitchy sometimes and it's annoying to have to try to go back and log emails after the fact
Eu utilizo muito esta extensão, é o meu braço direito, organiza os meus casos de uma forma ágil e fácil.
Our team recently experienced similar issue reported today of a javascript error when sending out an email on Gmail. The pop-up box doesn't come up anymore and instead turns the screen grey / Gmail is frozen. One can refresh the browser to reload Gmail; the email is still sent out but it is not logged into Salesforce. In another case, if one is logged into the extension and follows the prompt on the right side of the screen to 'Log Email On Send'>Save, then there is no issue. (My system info: <macOS Sonoma 14.0>; <Google Chrome Version 118.0.5993.88 (Official Build) (x86_64)>; <Salesforce Chrome Extension version 2.246.1> ***edit***as at 23 October 2023 ***changed the star rating from 2 to 5 stars. The issue has been resolved. The email logging function is back and no more freezing issue.
Recent Failure. The pop up window to log an email is only showing partially on screen so I cant associate it with an account.
I've loved using this extension for a while, but since the last update on 10/19/2023 on a Windows device the framing on the pop up box to log is WAY off. I can only give it 2 stars as this framing issue makes it very hard for me to use the extension. Would increase my rating if it's fixed.
