- If a phone number doesn't turn into a link, you can select the text with your mouse and right-click to make a call (note: might not work with all numbers).
Info:
- If you don't like the extension turning numbers into Voice icon links, you can turn it off in the extension options.

Google is slow to update this extension. Works great if you are still in 2013!
Love it
They've downgraded the functionality. You can't paste pics into it and your phone can't choose it for default messaging. The craptacular back and forth between this and hangouts is very frustrating. I'm not sure where to go from here. I used to love it and now wish I could smash it against a wall.

For the love of god, Google, update this freaking extension. It is buggy as hell and super dated. PLEASE.
Love it - if you've got sprint you can use your real phone number and attach it to google voice. Very cool feature. I like that I can be texting on the computer and from the front view it looks like I'm taking notes :)
Loved it back in the day, but it's abandonware now. Last updated in 2013. Voice has been getting updates that break compatibility with this plugin since then. Maybe half of its features still work now and some of those only kinda work. Will only get worse going forward.
It works we except that the icon always shows at least 1 message, yet my inbox is all read.
Doesn't work well, mouse doesn't click over hyperlinks. Always has a notification alert even when account is clean of any messages. Poor programming.
It works but you can only send two messages worth of text in a text message, and the unread message counter is seriously broken. It's woefully out of date. Google has wonderfully updated its Google Voice web application but has ignored the chrome extension, which is a shame as it's quite useful to be able to text right from within my web browser! :-(
