You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

This extension is great! Its really helping me to stay focused on my job by c... Oops time out.
The plugin itself is awesome at keeping me on task. However, the nuclear option cannot be disabled. I only enabled it to block site over a 4 day weekend. Now it blocks them everyday with no way to disable. The only thing I can do is uninstall the plugin. The dev should at least publish a way to manually remove this option (even if it's very difficult).
YESSS. Just what I needed before I start studying for my boards
This is the ONLY extension of its kind with a "NUCLER" option. Once you check out for the allotted time form Facebook/Twitter etc., there is no turning back. With the other extensions I tried all you had to do was reboot your computer and the block was lifted--how useless is that. I just wish they made this for Safari as well because I split my time between Safari and Chrome. However, this is so useful to me that I may switch to Chrome as my only browser.
TO KEEP FROM DISABLING IT, JUST HIDE THE BUTTON AND THEN ADD THE EXTENSIONS PAGE TO THE BLOCKED LIST! YOU WONT BE ABLE TO DISABLE IT!!
Why haven't I found this before now! Amazing plug-in. One tip though: I consider myself to excel procrastination, so much so, that I love to find loop holes on these types of program. The one I have found here is that I can still access my 'blocked' sites when I browse using internet explorer. I understand that this is different to google chrome, but I was thinking a possible solution could be to download 'stay focused' to the computer rather than the google chrome browser so it can be applied to all browsing programs i.e internet explorer?!? I'm no computer expert so this may be completely unrealistic, but thought I would share my ideas
I really like this plugin, but I wish I could either pause it or set a time period where it doesn't count against me. I use it to keep focused at work, and have it set to 9am - 6pm, but I don't want it to penalize me for screwing around between 1pm and 2pm, when I'm eating lunch while reading random news articles at my desk. My current solution is to set it to 30 minutes per day, and then just use Firefox at lunch, but I'd prefer to stay in Chrome and just tell this plugin that I'm allowed to screw around as much as I want in that one time period.
You waste more time setting this thing up than you do studying and its kind of annoying because to get to your settings you need to type this thing up!
This is an amazing extension. However there is one serious flaw. I set my time limit, added blocked sites and changed the setting so that you have to perform a task to change the settings. When I checked that option, I didn't think that you would have to complete a task to turn on NUKE MODE. This seems counterproductive. NUCLEAR MODE should be a simple click away.
