This is a companion plugin for the Subkit extension. DO NOT install unless Subkit is installed first.

You'll then need to connect Subkit to your video and enable furigana from there. See this guide for tips. https://subkit.net/docs/guides/furigana
Once installed and enabled, you can see furigana added to Japanese subtitles on popular streaming platforms like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Disney+.

I can confirm that they fixed it for YouTube. If it breaks again due to YouTube's changes, please send them feedback instead of leaving a bad review that becomes misleading which you won't update later.
Works as advertised! Really helpful. Can change size and colour of furigana as well.
