Best tool for sentence mining. Yes it costs money, but you can't beat it with free tools, no matter what you may hear. Includes solid starter courses for some languages as a bonus. There are some bugs and some major features are still in development, but things are constantly improving.

By far and away the greatest language learning tool available. This is not hyperbole for the sake of a review, it's absolutely true. I have always wanted two things when learning a language: 1) Being able to see target language subtitles so that I can confirm that I am hearing correctly, and 2) being able to visually track and see which words I know and which I don't. Migaku does these both, and add to that the fact that you essentially incorporate your kanji knowledge into it by only revealing the furigana on those words that you don't know. It's a real gamechanger. Being able to open a new video and know immediately whether it's significantly beyond your level or whether it's in that comprehension sweet spot is magnificent. This doesn't even touch on the fact that Migaku is unrivalled in terms of creating flashcards straight from content. I will never use Anki in my life (I absolutely hate it) and yet I will gladly use Migaku's flashcard creation tool because of how utterly seamless it is. Bless these guys for the work that they do here, it has made the world of difference to my language journey. I cannot recommend it enough.

Even though I bought the life time subscription three years ago, I put using migaku on and off because I didn't think yet that it had everything I needed for my immersion (compared to the free alternatives). Three years later and I'm in awe of the current state of the app, the ai integration, the handcrafted lessons. I now exclusively use Migaku for everything and I let go of everything else I used to learn Japanese. I'm also now learning Korean using Migaku exclusively and am having a blast with how the lessons go deep into detail and have videos to show me how to move my mouth to pronunce and other advanced tricks.

Best resource by far for serious language learners, been trying different methods for years and this is the best. Follow their advice, it might take a few days to get used to the way they teach you how to learn, but its worth it, but you're still going to need to study hundreds of hours, but migaku makes it easier and more effective and efficient. Try studying 50 hours with migaku and you'll understand.

Easily the best option I've found for learning through immersion materials. While the video player subtitle parsing can get a little wonky after services update their players, it does a good job of parsing text and allowing me to create flashcards w/ examples.
