This extension detects M3U8 streaming formats on the active tab and offers to download these segmented streams as a single file to the user's local disk.
This extension detects all possible video qualities and uses direct disk writing to store segments. So there is no need to have a recovery plan from a possible crash. Your data is written instantly to the local file and is ready to use. It also merges all segments automatically when the file is fetched. To improve download capability, the extension also sets the referrer header of the original page.
This extension uses multiple threads to download the HLS stream to increase the downloading speed and stability. Also, it supports resuming the download process when there is a network failure (Thanks to the TDM.JS engine).
How to use it:
1. Go to a streaming website like https://videojs.com/
2. Wait until the toolbar color changes

Since VDH turned into garbage I had been looking for a streaming media addon that just downloads a stream and gets out of the way like VDH used to do. After going through pages of trash addons, this one fits the bill amazingly well and does what it says. I appreciate how transparent it is with in-depth options if needed, clearly labeled download buttons are a godsend. I use this to get podcasts & music to listen to offline or when I'm working on other stuff, to bypass the constant lag and stutter on streaming players. And for ppl who need to know how it's doing, there's a progress % in the title bar of the addon's window, I can mouse over and see the % + MB downloaded at a glance, super helpful. I haven't tried video with it yet but I will try that out soon. Lastly the way this addon automatically adds metadata is incredible, I don't have to manually add a picture or artist info, it's included w/the file so I can add to my albums immediately without going thru metadata hell. Highly highly recommend!!

It's really good but there should be option to just simply stop downloading live since closing windows just wipes all temporary data
Amazing and wonderful! Many extensions I've tried to download M3U8, but either don't function at all or are trial versions, but this one seems to work perfectly.

por favor por que al terminar de descargar copia el archivo a "Temp" y luego a la carpeta seleccionada? es un gasto de ssd en vano por favor arreglarlo
iba de maravilla en un principio y despues dejo de funcionar del todo. era de esperarse de una extension que no tiene mantenimiento regular
