I'm with 95 per cent of the other users who have left reviews over the past 24 hours. That imposed-without-notice ad banner has ruined my browsing experience and my opinion of Awesome New Tab Page, which was the best liked of all my Chrome apps. Great example of how to take your app from a five star to a one star and destroy customer goodwill in one fell swoop. Shame. Great app ruined by greed and the need to "monetise". Make sure you Trademark "Awesome New Ad Page" as well, because that is what this has become. The number of ANTP users as I type this is 356,781. It will be interesting to come back in three months' time and see how many thousands have gone elsewhere. Sorry, but you can count me out, for one.
I have no problem with ads and the revenue they create, but their placement is essential so they don't interfere with your browsing/work. It is now a Superfish adware tool. Having default-on advertising is a little disturbing. It is however, a wonderfully useful app, that sadly now spams web pages with adverts that run over and obscure images and information. This is easy to turn off in the settings but I can't help feeling I'm being coerced towards an Adfree subscription, or similar ploy. Make this an app to buy for a couple of dollars/pounds and I'll buy it. Force me to see obtrusive or pathetic ads to dubious ebay-like sites and I'll uninstall it. I give it 3 stars because it uses default-on intrusive advertising from a dubious/untrustworthy ad supplier (that can be switched off in the settings). Apart from that, it is an excellent and very useful app that should be used by anyone using chrome.
Was great; had to delete due to the new spyware that it adds to my webpages. The permissions that it asks for are really not necessary for what it does, just there to take my data and feed me ads.
I loved it, now I'm uninstalling for two reasons: 1. Adware: intrusive, ruins a good experience, should be off by default. I'd rather pay a few bucks for an ad-free version. 2. Permissions; "access your data on all websites" - No, you may not.
New permissions again? What is happening? Why this extension want to know about all my data in all websites? Edit: As novas permissões são para exibir propagandas em qualquer site que vc esteja navegando. Uma escolha péssima e intrusiva. Desinstalando imediatamente.

You can switch off the Superfish ads in the settings. Just go to Configure; General. Great extension.
