lately this extension has so much problems like you have there but doesn't tell you if you have some mails just tell you until you open you gmail in the page and i gonna install it again and see it work now

After the last update the app icon has stopped showing the number of unread messages properly. Looks like it doesn't even update itself automatically. And there is no option to update icon manually or set the update time interval.

This E-Mail checker was great, but later I had to un-install it and another mail checker because it conflicted with GMail, disallowing me to send some E-Mail, not allowing my settings to save and most annoying of all, stopping chat working completely. When I removed both, it was working like there was no such thing as an error! Apart from that, I would still recommend it.

9 times out of ten it will show a question mark. It often doesn't tell me how many emails I have until I open my email account, which takes the point out of the app.

It's ok. You will be notified when a new message comes in, but the number sticks on the icon for quite a while after you've already opened gmail and checked the message. This leaves you wonder whether you've gotten a new message or if the checker simply has not updated.
