This extension auto-detects RSS feeds on the page you are reading and upon finding one will display an RSS icon in the Omnibox, allowing you to click on it to preview the feed content and subscribe.
The extension comes with 2 feed readers predefined (Bloglines and My Yahoo) but also allows you to add any web-based feed reader of your choice to the list.
What's new in version 2.2.2?
+ Doesn't run in the background all the time, only when in use.
+ Updated to not use a soon-to-be-deprecated API.

One star because it doesn't recognize feeds on any of the sites that Firefox will live bookmark. Why offer something called an extension if have to navigate to the google reader page anyway?
Needs to work in with the need Windows 8 interface
Not working anymore - using Chrome 21.0.1180.60 m and 2.2.0.....I used Wordpress RSS and Events Manager plugin RSS with Mime-type application/rss+xml. Could google look ino this, soon, please ??
does not work and there is no way to report it broken. This is the worse thing with google. there is no way to contact them, just bullshit automatic guidelines everywhere, no human contact.
It was working beautifully but at some point it stopped working. Wasn't sure when but maybe a few months ago? Whenever I go to a site with an RSS feed the icon doesn't pop up anymore.
It have worked fine until couple of weeks ago. At this moment useless... not working, no action icon. I wanna use it again, please fix it.

The feed view window acts extremely weird. It hides the URL and closes and opens a tab when opened in a tab. Please make this fit the chrome "everything is a website" feel that even exists in the settings. Put the URL back in there!
