It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.

Since the last Google Chrome Update I do not see the favicon of the suspended sites, it shows now at each tab the icon of the extension (lego head). This makes it hard to find the wanted tab. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
Great extension, but all extensions using the same mechanism for "suspending" tabs were broken by a recent Chrome update, unfortunately. As of right now, any suspended tab will display a blank white page instead of the inteded "suspended tab page" with the required code to "unsuspend" the tab. Not sure if this can be worked around or if Google made extensions like this not possible to maintain any more.
App currently doesn't function correctly - might be due to updates from Chrome 104
Since the last update, the extension is not working
Всё отлично. Только жаль "Скриншот страницы" не работает. А остальное на месте.
No longer working properly since the last update of Google Chrome. The tabs are suspended, but the sites are completely empty. Impossible to click on the site to reload it. I hope it will be fixed soon.
To whoever is reading this and having problems with this extension since Chrome update, the developer is aware of it. The issue can be found on the extension's Github page along with a couple of fixes. For now, you can either "triple click inside the tab" to get it to come back, or you can use the following workaround to reload all tabs at once. Workaround after a browser start or window reopen: Session management -> Old TGS Extension id: put this extension id (noogafoofpebimajpfpamcfhoaifemoa) -> migrate tabs -> this seems to reload all tabs correctly
i rely on this so heavily, but has stopped working since the last chrome update. just a white screen with no option to suspend or unsuspend the tab. please fix it, i will pay money!!!
