It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.

Thank you for reviving this extension. Is is very helpful. I would suggest perhaps an improvement: a link in main manu for saved sessions. It would be very usefull and nice if you include it.
Какие-то вкладки с Ютубом усыпляет, какие-то нет. Чем дольше работает, тем меньше вкладок усыпляет. Конфликтует с расширением Video Resume. Но в любом случае хоть как-то позволяет бороться с потреблением 99% памяти.
Отлично что вернули приложение без мутного кода.
Love it. One of my daily used extension
I used The Great Suspender more than 5 yrs ago and shocked to know when the extension is tagged as malware in Nov 2020. Obviously I don't have much choice but re-open all 600+ tabs like crazy but Chrome doesn't allowed it so I had to recover it manually. I have been suspicious when installing extensions since then, wondering what kind of data they will collect, until the replacement declared safe to use. The only thing missing is "screen capture" feature for suspended tabs. I wish if Google has this feature by default so the users don't have to install extensions

Broken for nearly a month already
Tabs aren't auto suspending after X amount of time. Also it closes a bunch of my tabs when I install it. At present it's a means to manually suspend tabs which is why I gave it as many stars as I did. If it was fixed and worked like TGS before the downfall it'd be 5 stars, easily.
Not working anymore
Amazing! Can't live without it!
