It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.

My first chrome extension review. Thanks for the great work with this extension!
Thanks God it was updated and I can continue using it! After last version stopped working I've spent hours looking for alternative. Couldn't find anything I'd like and had to deal with Chrome built-in discard feature. Which was just working when my laptop was close to be out of memory. I didn't like it at all. Now the latest version works again, thank you so much!! The best extension for this matter, thank you so much dear Giovanni! :)

When manifest v3 removed a bunch of other extensions I used including this this was the one I realized I needed most. Thanks for the update!
GOOGLE(CHROME) ESTÁ DESATIVANDO/DESLIGANDO (e já soube que Brave e Ópera são os próximos) TODAS EXTENSÕES QUE NÃO MIGRAREM PRA SUA NOVA PLATAFORMA, de V2 para V3, diminuindo (pra conveniência do Google) muito a eficiência principalmente das extensões criadas pra bloquear anúncios. NÃO GOSTEI E NÃO CONCORDO COM ESSA ARBTRÁRIA RESOLUÇÃO DO GOOGLE! ACREDITO QUE O IDEAL SEJA PROTESTAR E BOICOTAR O GOOGLE MUDANDO DE NAVEGADOR(chrome). Já migrei para o Edge da microsoft, por enquanto não houver essas mudanças que, se ocorrerem continuarei mudando pro firefox ou qualquer outro que permita que as extensões funcionem com a total eficiência para a qual foram criadas, ao invés de restringir as funcionalidades das extensões futuras à conveniência (com fins lucrativos) do Google. (tem usuário pedindo que desenvolvedor atualize como quer o google... DESENVOLVEDORES: NÃO SE SUBMETAM! VALORIZEM-SE! E ÀS SUAS OBRAS E TRABALHO.

Sono AL SETTIMO CIELO. Un'estensione senza la quale le mie ENORMI sessioni "Chromatiche" sarebbero ingestibili, estensione FONDAMENTALE, che (grazie al talento dello sviluppatore) è ANCORA QUI (con buona pace del "Manifest v.3")... Bravo, Gioxx. Non so come ringraziarti 🤗🤗🥹🥹🥹

What a shame that Google has destroyed this awesome extension.. Really hoping these guys can get it working on the next version of Chrome because Chromes native tab suspension system "Memory Saver", is absolute trash in comparison. I see that there is a Marvellous Suspender v3 Beta.. I don't know if you can link stuff in reviews, so just type what I wrote "Marvellous Suspender v3 Beta" into Google Search and you'll see how to get it. Hope this helps some people.
