BEWARE - The app is disingenuous about deactivation and has destroyed all user trust for me. I liked this app when I used it, but I decided I didn't want to use it anymore. I clicked an option in their app that say "Deactivate MixMax for [email protected]." You would think that would be the end of it, but no.... On a weekly basis I get asked to reinstall it before sending emails. I've deactivated it three or four times now and keep getting asked to reinstall it.

Great extension with some hard-to-find features like scheduled emails and embedded web link previews (things gmail ought to have). Most reviews on here are a year old, so here's a current one (well, for now). I've used the MixMax free plan for 2 years, primarily for a side business; my email volume isn't very high so the free tier works great. My favorite feature, email scheduling is easy to use and reliable (I've never had one fail). If you're unsure why you'd need it, here are a few reasons: (1) email written the day before but sent automatically first thing in the morning helps ensure it will be at the top of the recipient's inbox, (2) clients don't see an odd-hours timestamp on the email, or (3) schedule an email as a reminder for a meeting or appointment or to provide agenda beforehand. There is a mixmax 'signature' added to the email, but you can remove it manually--just click on the link it adds in your email, and then click the "I'm not tired of clicking" pop-up that opens...simple, especially for low-volume use. Web page preview/snapshots embedded in the email are also a nice feature; you do get a mixmax tag on that as well, but it's not horribly intrusive and I don't mind the minor advertising for something I use for free. There are many other features, not all of which I have a need for, but I've tested them and they work great. My only complaint is the interface could be more user-friendly and logically designed; granted there is always a learning curve and you have to get used to their layout and workflow, but I think this could be refined for easier use. Along with that, it'd be nice if they embedded a tutorial for new users to walk them through features and use cases. Honestly though, those are minor gripes for an extension that adds fantastic utility, for FREE! I've yet to see another service offer the same quality service as MixMax.
