Hover your mouse over any image on the supported websites and the extension will automatically enlarge the image to its full size, making sure that it still fits into the browser window.

This is an open source version of the original HoverZoom extension which is now overrun by malware and deleted from store. In this version all spyware has been removed, many bugs were fixed and new features were added. It doesn't collect any statistics by default. The only permission it needs is to access data on all websites (to extract full images), and *optional* permissions to access browser history, download/save images or get tab urls for per-site configuration.

Sometimes sites change design and when it happens extension needs to be updated. Please report any issues with zoom not working by using Support tab or https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom/issues page.

Switched over to this version of Hover Zoom when the original broke, and so far it's worked exactly how I expected it to. One thing I've noticed, though, is that downloaded images used with this extension are of significantly lower quality compared to their original image. It's a bit disappointing, and hopefully this can be somehow improved upon on further updates.

CURRENTLY BROKEN FEATURES: (on Chrome 49, Hover Zoom+ 1.0.55, OS X 10.10) - Activate full zoom (still does nothing) - Disable hover zoom (still adds links to history)

Works good. Glad to see someone is still updating it occasionally. Keep up the good work please. One request though: 1) An option to display the image resolution along the border, like Imagus. It's kind of nice to know the size/resolution of the original image.
