iCloud Passwords lets you securely fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Chrome. Any new passwords you create in Chrome are saved to your iCloud Keychain so that they are also available across your Apple devices. The extension can also generate verification codes, which you can set up by right-clicking on a QR code.

The iCloud Passwords extension is compatible with macOS Sonoma or later, and Windows versions supported by the iCloud for Windows app. To enable the extension on a PC, download the iCloud for Windows app from the Microsoft Store and enable iCloud Passwords.

I lacking passkeys feature. Google chrome passkey still ask for physical devices to scan it. Not convince as passkeys on Safari. Other than that It worked okay

What's more, it requires the iCloud for Windows app (so for Linux it's dead and even for macOS it's not possible to have the icloud manager other than on safari). It's only compatible with Chrome and Edge, so anything that's Brave Opera or another chromium-based browser won't work. All that to say, if you're using something other than Safari on Apple devices, DON'T USE the iCloud manager. Instead, use Bitwarden, which is simple, free and cross-platform.

Well, it gets my iCloud passwords as advertised, and I'm not noticing any slow-down in Chrome. But why on earth do I have to enter a security code every single time I want to use it?!? How very annoying and, I have to say, very un-Apple.

Okay, I installed Mac OS Sonoma and couldn't wait set Chrome as my default browser (Safari is so slow). Yes, as others have noted, having to authenticate each time you use Chrome (and more) is overkill and inconvenient but it works. I have no stored passwords in Google Google due to hacking and Privacy concerns (and we all know where that leads us). Yes, as others have noted, there is no access to saved credit card. They are not maintained in Apple Keychain. You can save them in Google Pay but that opens you up to Google hacking and Privacy concerns as well. Yes, as others have noted, there is no access to stored autofill but autofill. Autofill entries are not maintained in the Apple Keychain. I'm pretty sure you can add addresses, etc to Chrome autofill but have not investigated as yet. As a password extension, I think it works pretty well.

Funktioniert sehr gut, jedoch müsste es eine Option geben, damit man sich nicht nach jedem Browser Neustart mit einem Einmalcode identifizieren muss.

Love it ... not sure why so many problems for others. I'm running it on an updated Mac Studio. It doesn't slow anything and seems to work as advertised. I was actually going to use 1password, but decided to give the keychain a try. Great so far. I recommend trying it yourself since it seems like not all the reviews apply to everyone. Cheers!

È possibile inserire un account iCloud che non sia quello presente sul proprio Mac?

For the reasons stated in other reviews, this extension is shockingly bad. I'm actually very surprised that Apple chose to release it in its current embarrassingly bad state. On a positive note, at least Apple is signalling that it intends to increase compatibility and will hopefully make iCloud Passwords more useful in the weeks ahead.

I've never written a review for an extension before, but Apple messed this up so badly I had to say something. When it's installed and authenticated, it works fine for passwords. But pretty rapidly, things begin to go badly. You can't use autofill for payments or addresses, because it says the iCloud Passwords extension is managing those settings. But there's no way to add payments or addresses to iCloud Passwords. So you just can't have autofill for anything with this extension installed. Also, it makes you manually enable it each time you open Chrome (or Arc, in my case), and THEN authenticate it all over again. And apparently others have experienced the extension slowing down the browser. I haven't experienced this, but I haven't been using it for very long. And maybe that behavior doesn't happen with Arc? This is a truly terrible user experience. I can't believe anyone at Apple made this and used it and then said, "Yep. That's what we want Apple users to have." Just give us the system-wide iCloud (passwords, payments, autofill, hide-my-email, etc.) usage like iOS, regardless of which browser we use. I am SO disappointed, as I've been awaiting Sonoma with great anticipation in order to use a different browser with all the great iCloud features. So much for that.
