(⚠️ In some cases, Auto Resume Downloads are disabled by the Chrome browser API spec. Sorry, but in that case, please toggle the extension's switch off and on to resume your downloads.)

It is an open source Chrome extension that can automatically resume downloads that have been stopped for unintended reasons.

The full source code of the program is publicly available on GitHub, and anyone can contribute if there is a bug or improvement.

If you leave the switch on, it will automatically resume downloading paused in the background.

You can manually set the time interval to trigger the resume and also check the program usage log.

Got real slow internet downloaded Anomaly with 400 mb/s speed and this made Installing it significantly easier It does exactly what is says and is very easy to set up it was a solid two left clicks and it functioned easy-peasy, <3 whoever the freak made it

mcse trained tech here, this does not work with the latest chrome (nov 2025) for whatever reason. Tested downloads from nvidia and techpowerup servers.

Worked as "advertised". I periodically have to download a few files that are >15Gb and COMCAST has some restriction that aborts after 2-4 Gb. I use Chrome's manual resume feature and have to come back every 45 minutes or so to resume. After getting up every hour last night to nurse one of them to completion, I searched for a solution and installed "Auto Resume Downloads". I executed the next download and presto/chango --- no intervention required on my part and the entire file was down in 3 hours. Thank-you for the convenience ---- and the improved sleep on my monthly download days. Great utility!

This extension helped me resume interrupted downloads immediately after installation. A useful tool that should have been integrated into Chrome from the start.
