"Audio only youtube" chrome extension enables you to disable only video on youtube which saves internet usage more than 50% when you want to listen songs on youtube.

**Note: It doesn't support Youtube Live Videos.**

You can enable/disable it by just clicking on the icon shown in the extension bar.

Audio only youtube is an open-source project licensed under GPLv3. You can find sources here :

Almost great. Unfortunate that it applies to all tabs instead of select tabs. If I turn it on for music to reduce bandwidth consumption (which is does awesomely) I then have to toggle it off again to watch a video in another tab. Not that I often have occasion for this, but I do sometimes and this limitation gets in the way. Further once I turn it off, my music video starts looping indefinitely? Aside from a few irritating side effects, it does perfectly what YouTube should have included for PC long ago, music without video. I can do it on my phone but not in Chrome? Come on Google... stop designing limitations into your software platforms and just let them do what they are capable of already. As great as this addin is, it should be completely unnecessary. But thank for making it, it solved a real problem that shouldn't have ever existed in the first place, and beyond my comprehension, persists today.

It works 90% of the time which is great but sometimes when it auto plays the next song it loads the next song but plays the previous song which keeps doing it till you restart chrome

Every now and then when it plays a video, ater few seconds it rewinds it to the beginig, it's anoying... If you fix that, it will be a 5 star rating :)

Great work. Thanks for this. Glad that suddenly the idea of typing "youtube audio only" on google came to my mind and realized that somebody else on earth already thought of it too, spend hours and produced a chrome extension for the idea that works flawlessly...
