"Audio only youtube" chrome extension enables you to disable only video on youtube which saves internet usage more than 50% when you want to listen songs on youtube.
**Note: It doesn't support Youtube Live Videos.**
You can enable/disable it by just clicking on the icon shown in the extension bar.
Audio only youtube is an open-source project licensed under GPLv3. You can find sources here :

This doesn't do anything for me. I use it to listen to music. It buffers to 100% in a few seconds, but then it reloads AGAIN and starts buffering as a normal video, taking ages.
When I play minecraft, I like to have podcast-style youtube videos on in the background. My favorite is Rags. The issue is minecraft is a major RAM hog. When I play minecraft with youtube in the background, youtube crashes periodically because it can't load the video. This extension fixes the issue beautifully. You can turn it on and off easily, turn off the thumbnail in the settings, and it's even compatible with Iridium. It's simple and does what it sets out to do excellently.
cool helped me with my internet problems and i only listen music on youtube , i dont watch videos. very helpful if you have poor connection :)

Excelente extensión, no solo te ayuda a ahorrar datos, si no que si quieres escuchar musica mientras juegas online no tendras el problema del lag porque el ancho de banda solo se usa para el audio y no es mucho :D gracias amigos no abandonen este proyecto.
Cool but please specify the name of extension when you say audio only, click on extension to enable video.
