This extension adds a button to your browser toolbar. Click the translate icon whenever you want to translate the page you're visiting.
The extension also automatically detects if the language of a page you're on is different from the language you're using for your Google Chrome interface. If it is, a banner appears at the top of the page. Click the Translate button in the banner to have all the text on the page appear in the new language.

UPDATE(v1.2): Now you can change the extension options to enable automatic translation or prevent the banner automatically popped up for specified languages and web sites.

this app is a lot cool, it is very useful to me. é muito bom msm, ruim é que as vezes da erro mas é bom
The function is horrible! It only allow people to translate the whole page! What if somebody wanna translate only the selected text! So they have to do the back and forth translate for the whole page and which is not easy to read! Check out "I am translator" which is easier by using the right mouse click and there would be a pop up screen for people to put the selected text in it!
It's all very well translating web pages, but with the new setup from Google I can't find translate for the desktop to translate words directly. This is a tool I use constantly as an english teacher. WHERE IS IT??!! Not a practical tool for me......
