NOTICE ********* Works great for youtube, but otherwise this addon MUST to be at 1 star since until they remove the malware popups. But its most likely the developers are the ones to even put the scam links there to begin with, SO PLEASE GIVE THIS ADDON A 1 STAR. DO NOT USE THIS EXTENSION WITH OUT THE (Auto-Close Distractions) EXTENSION. enter this URL into the auto close extension (https://www.chromeactions.com/scan-update-and-protect-your-browser.html) Then you will have the extension how it should be. This is a great extension for JUST Youtube. But it has popup malware, where when you go to close a tab, it will then open a separate window tab saying to update your chrome. it will continue to give you the scam popup even when your browser is up to date sooo, what gives?? Having no setting to turn off this reminder makes it malware. They didn't accidently ruin their extension with a popup, its literally only meant to trick you into downloading something that can then steal your information. DO NOT GIVE THIS ADDON A GOOD REVIEW. DO NOT REWARD SCAMMER NO LIFES.

Basically, I can't imagine my day without this extension / plugin / add-on. I originally got this extension a few years ago just to stop YouTube from "auto-playing" videos every time I opened a video in a new tab... Absolutely love instant volume control and repeat features. It also helps to stop high CPU usage while watching videos.... yes, there are some issues, but I think the DEVs will fix it. Thanks guys, this is very useful tool. I'm definitely gonna suggest it to everyone I know, keep up the good work!!

⚠️ Redirects to scam page — do not install This extension caused repeated popup redirects to chromeactions.com, a fake browser update scam page designed to trick users into downloading malware. Confirmed on both Vivaldi and Edge with a clean install of this extension as the only variable. Removing the extension stopped the behavior immediately. — HOW THE SCAM WORKS — The extension secretly sends your browser to a fake security warning page. The page claims your browser is outdated and vulnerable, and urges you to click a "Scan" or "Update" button. That button does not update your browser — it downloads malicious software onto your computer. — WHY THE WARNING IS FAKE — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Vivaldi all update themselves automatically in the background. You will never need to update your browser by clicking a link on a random webpage. Any site telling you to do so is a scam, no exceptions. — WHAT CAN HAPPEN IF YOU CLICK — Depending on what gets installed, consequences can include: your passwords and banking credentials being stolen, your computer being enrolled in a botnet, ransomware encrypting your files, or your browser being hijacked to serve further scams and ads. — THE DEVELOPER IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE — The scam domain, chromeactions.com, is the same domain the extension itself opens during installation and uninstallation.
