Why not to combine the default screen with this?
Excellente idée, très belles cartes. Néanmoins ce serait tellement plus fonctionnel avec un zoom/dézoom, des petites icônes discrètes pour les raccourcis, voire un petit lien sur la page wikipedia de l'endroit. Ce serait parfait. Very good idea; though not very useful since there is no zooming possibility, neither link to the most visited websites. A link to the Wikipedia of the place shown would make it definitely perfect.
This makes me want to travel, and/or open so many new tabs!
