Switch Last Tabs
Use the shortcut <Alt + Q> (or define your own) to switch between your two last used tabs. Requires a one-time payment.

Switch to the previously active tab (last tab) by pressing Ctrl+Q, or clicking the Previous Tab icon.
You can change the keyboard shortcut by visiting chrome://extensions/shortcuts .
Chrome does not allow any extensions to use Ctrl+Tab or Ctrl+` as keyboard shortcuts.
The supported keys are Alt, Ctrl, Cmd along with:
A-Z, 0-9, Comma, Period, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown, Space, Insert, Delete, Arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) and the Media Keys (MediaNextTrack, MediaPlayPause, MediaPrevTrack, MediaStop).

So simple and so indispensable. I use it ALL the time, especially filling out a form and looking up the info in another tab. I had to create another Chrome user which no longer had this extension and then I realized how much I need it.

Works great. But sometimes when I press cmd + A, it also switches to previous tab for some reason. Any ideas how to fix it?

It works perfectly! I recall using a similar extension with the same functionality before it broke. I had also set Ctrl + Q as a shortcut.
