At DuckDuckGo, we believe the best way to protect your personal information from hackers, scammers, and privacy-invasive companies is to stop it from being collected at all. That's why millions of people choose DuckDuckGo over other browser extensions to protect their searching and browsing. Our built-in search engine is like Google but never tracks your searches. And our browsing protections, such as ad tracker blocking and cookie blocking, help stop other companies from collecting your data. Oh, and our browser extension is free — we make money from privacy-respecting search ads, not by exploiting your data. Take back control of your personal information with the browser extension designed for data protection.

A good tracker remover. I believe it would be helpful if you put the search engine as a separate extension so that people could install it optionally. It's nice to see the extension has no hidden tracking features logging your data in the background.
The option to change search engine would be helpful. Changing it and blocking the Google search box on the 'new tab' pages are deal breakers for me. In addition, causes a conflict with Ghostery...
Too high memory usage!
It suddenly started blocking embedded YouTube videos on websites. Replaced them with the message: "requests to the server have been blocked by an extension" As soon as I disabled DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, the videos were visible again. I am leaving this disabled for now.
Changed my search engine setting to DuckDuckGo only. This should be optional.
Why can't I choose Google as my search engine? I'm forced to use DDG?
Why does it change my search engine to DDG? I don't think DDG will be better than Google. When Google just started, it was good too. It is just the way how things work in life.
so.. i cant install this without you also hijacking my preferred search engine? LITERALLY POINTLESS. I can do that from settings, I want it to be OPTIONAL. sorry, but saying thats the fault of chrome is a cop out, do as your users ask and make 2 extensions, one for tracker blocking, one for search request forwarding.
Ändert die Standard-Suchmaschine ohne Möglichkeit diese wieder zurück zu ändern --> Deinstalliert
