hijacks search engine for the whole browser, WITHOUT option to change it. Give users a choice, what's the point of forcing? All I need is option to generate emails with the new duck email protection. Duck search is useless. This kind of behavior is expected from big corporations, bundling everything together...

Huge fan of DDG since I was following the script to use Goggle for everything. I do research in my job and the Boolean searches I know how to do, I can now do them on DDG. Keep in mind you will occasionally find something on DDG that was scrubbed from Goggle. WayBack Machine ext will confirm.

Not nice to automatically change settings without prior consent - even if they are done for "my privacy benefit"
I have been using it in the office on the advice of my broker who has been a business owner for over 35 years. I became so accustomed to it there that when working from home I started using it also. Feeling very glad to have done the change.
