I have used a few reference managers over the years, including my University's RefWorks, but found Paperpile to be the simplest. Clean layout and integrates well with Google Docs. Good support for importing and annotating PDFs. Quite happy to pay the yearly fee.

Does exactly what it says on the box, amazing. So smooth and easy to use compared to endnote. I just wish I could import lists from databases like Medline etc... it could just be that I don't know how to work it out though

Incredible reference management software. I was a Zotero fanatic before I tried this. As Matthew Collins' review essentially says - can't beat it!

Fantastic citation manager. Paperpile allowed me to write my entire thesis within google docs, making my workflow immeasurably smoother. Having all papers saved online in the cloud combined with google docs meant that I could use different computers and never worry about data loss. I just wish I had found it sooner!

I love Paperpile. Who knows other types of endnoting software will love. I would like to suggest a tool that permits making marks by the readers in the pdf gotten through the application.

Best citation manager software by a long shot; phenomenal integration with Google Docs. Small minus is that it (currently) only works online, and that export to BibTeX requires manual postprocessing (citation keys are arbitrary, some fields result in wrong LaTeX commands); however, these flaws are shared with other citation managers.
