Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.

When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in your web browser.

Privacy assurance

OneTab is designed for privacy. Your tab URLs are never transmitted or disclosed to either the OneTab developers or any other party, and icons for tab URL domains are generated by Google. The only exception to this is if you intentionally click on our 'share as a web page' feature that allows you to upload your list of tabs into a web page in order to share them with others. Tabs are never shared unless you specifically use the 'share as a web page' feature.

Additional Benefits

Storing tabs in OneTab can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load and memory (RAM) usage of your browser. Even a high-end computer can become sluggish when many browser windows are open, because each open browser window may constantly consume resources.

All you link hoarders (and chrome extension fetishists) rejoice! This is a smart tabbing tool. Well thought out, well executed, and just neat.

I don't often go out of my way to write a review, send feedback or praises, But every now and then one product comes along that makes all the testing, uninstalling and installing worth it. This year, One Tab IS IT. You are the app that gives the researcher, multipager, knowledge monger a breath of fresh air and a SOLID, SIMPLE, UI friendly way to keep track of everything. It is the first addon I DL whenever I reformat. I used to be heavy into research browsing and someone would ask me to use my system "real fast" and I would freak out and have to quickly add all to bookmarks. One or two of these situations later my bookmarks would be well on their way to a digital spiderweb. But NO MORE>> and the best part about it is the drag and drop / HTML 5 along with a clean UI, usability and the option to save as a web page and >>>> YAY send a QR CODE. Yes PEOPLE there are bookmarks but this is really lightweight, instant, functional and not BLOATWARE. Its a no nonsense app the serves an expedient purpose to those that swallow information up by the gig and have 15 relevant tabs open at once. The semi casual web surfer just wouldn't understand.

Biggest miss was that after "OneTabbing" 12 windows, clicking "Restore All" failed to restore 11 of them. Its screen cleared all 12, so I had no way to restore these from OneTab. (Was able to restore from "Recently Closed" in Chrome History.) Also tried restoring "OneTabbed" windows one-by-one which works, but it puts them in a new Chrome window instead of adding tabs to the existing window (which was the window the tabs were in originally). For the record I had 6 pinned tabs that were preserved while I tried out OneTab. It didn't close/consolidate those pinned tabs (desired behavior).

So simple, so useful. Best non-security/non-privacy extension since tabs and spellcheck. Either you "get it" because you work this way (4-5 star!) or you don't use tabs/think this way (1 star or maybe shouldn't rate it?). Every browser should incorporate this as an intrinsic optional feature! So should Xmarks and other cross-PC and cross-platform bookmark managers. OneTab isn't perfect. Eight enhancements: A. Implement for Firefox, IE, & Maxthon. B. Add & maintain OneTab folder in Bookmarks. C. Option to open OneTab always in new window or new session if only New Tab is present. D. Add Display OneTab to the menu icon menu. E. Add history. The last group should be a history of OneTab entries with options to clear and automatically truncate after a defined duration. F. Add options to directly bookmark a link (in context menu) or a group (in Other menu and in context menu) on the OneTab tab. Yes, I could do this with 3-4 clicks but .... G. Reopen with approximately same position. H. Sync across browsers on one PC and sync across PCs. The limited case might be via Google account or Xmarks bookmark syncing the OneTab folder (see B.) but a dedicated mechanism would also be useful. I. See A and B.

This extension solved my most heinous computer problem. I open more tabs than anyone I know and now I can "bank" them before I crash Chrome. A great time and sanity saver. I just love being able to make locked tab groups for the issues I'm researching. The only small change I would make is to be able to combine tab lists. If you are a mad researcher like me - get this extension. I love it. *Just read the suggestion to be able to sync the lists - that would be great too.
