Logged me out. Now I can't log back in.
It's a great extension other than it doesn't work very well. 1. once you open the extension tab, impossible to relocate the popup, hence you must untoggle it to see what's underneath it. 2. imports corrupt pdfs from sources (JStor, Wiley etc etc) 3. Impossible to edit entries via extension fix these plzz
UPDATE 3: The extension is now unable to log in at all. I was able to somehow trick the extension into thinking it was logged in, but after "adding" a reference it does not show up in the library. UPDATE 2: I've added about 30 documents without issues, and I can now directly edit metadata before adding to my library. The only issue now is that it periodically requires me to log in again, but it at least has my login saved in a session somewhere, so I don't have to type my credentials again. I have accordingly altered my rating from a one-star review to four stars. Thank you all very much! UPDATE: Two-and-a-half years later, the web importer has a new format, and will now also offer to download PDFs before going to the actual page with the PDF. This sounds pretty useful, but don't fall for it! It will fail to download the PDFs, even outside of Wiley. For Wiley-hosted PDFs, the plugin just refuses to pop up, so you'll have to do the old-fashioned download > import process. Additionally, the new format doesn't allow you to edit the fields before saving to the library. My old workflow used to include the PMID number in one of the fields before saving, which makes it easy to update references in bulk later. However, since I can no longer do that, I have to save to my library, open the desktop version, sync, check the PDF to ensure that it isn't corrupted, and then add the PMID then. At this point, the web importer doesn't save that much time. Original review: Downloads corrupt PDFs when trying to download anything hosted by Wiley. This has been an issue for months and remains unaddressed. This one-star review will remain until this issue is resolved.
It's great when it works, however my web importer has logged me out and I now cannot log back in even after changing my password, uninstalling and reinstalling the importer and checking the settings. I also can't access the Q&A's on the site as it redirects me to login which I can't do! Really very frustrating.
I have been using it for quite a while and like it very much. Thank you for making my work easier :-)

It does what it needs to do, saves the article. However, it sometimes fails to detect even the most basic fields, such as the title and authors. It won't detect if the article is already in your library so it will just create a duplicate. The tags field, which is purely user generated, is nested in the edit view with all of the discovered files. It would make more sense to be on main page next to the folder/group input to allow for quick addition of tags. Also missing a checkbox input to mark it as read/unread, instead of adding and then marking it as read.
Always require me to login again when I restart the computer.
