When you install Scholar Reader, PDFs on all sites will have a new look in Chrome. To make this happen, Chrome will ask for permissions to read and change data on all sites. Scholar Reader makes no changes other than the presentation of PDFs.
• Preview references as you read. Click the in-text citation to see a summary and find the PDF.
• Read faster with the AI outline. Get a quick overview and click on interesting bullets to jump within the paper.
• Highlight and comment on PDFs. Highlights are saved to your Scholar library.
• Make it right for your eyes with light, dark, and night modes.
• Copy and paste common citation formats without leaving the paper.

This viewer saves me so much time. However, it regularly causes my laptop to hang by using >5GB of RAM! Please limit its memory usage. I have no problem with it taking a longer time to process documents provided it doesn't make my computer hang up.
It's sad to see a PDF reader by Google in 2024 without having any AI feature. An outdated product. I was expecting Text Summarizer, AI explanation , text to speech features, interface with Gemini etc. Nothing new, even annotations are missing. Google is lacking behind in terms of innovation.
Very good, although we need hyperlinks for equations just like how there are hyperlinks for figures/tables/sections. Also, annotation tools would be amazing.
Would be great if there was a function that moves to previous location!
Very nice extension which helps to save time for referring citations.
查看文献等非常好用，但是选中句子的时候不太方便，而且没有高亮和标注，希望能够加入（顺便再加个翻译功能就最好了）。
Love it! Could we please get the ability to make notes on items saved to the library? ("This paper was cited in X and discusses the Y technique") Often such things are not evident from the title.

The way it shows reference is super convenient!
This pdf viewer has zoom with zoom with command + scrolling turned on. The regular pdf viewer of edge doesn't have this. can this be turned off?
