This extension automatically tells Chrome that every tab you open is "not auto discardable". This might help solve issues where Chrome kills more tabs than you would want to, however, this is not foolproof, and tabs might still get discarded if your system is out of memory.
No configuration needed, the extension will mark every open tab as "not auto discardable" as long as you installed the extension and haven't disabled it.
Want to make sure this extension is working? Go to chrome://discards in a new tab and see how every row has a cross in the "auto discardable" column.

Worked for a while but the tabs have started discarding again
Works. I ironically was a user of The Great Suspender. However, Google Chrome's auto-tab discarding, without an option to not discard certain tabs, is just horrible. Thank you for this extension.
After installing all tabs on my chrome book continued to keep reloading does not have any effect on activity.
Overall useful but I still see Chrome reverting to auto discarding after some time. The laptop needs to be restarted for this extension to work properly. Auto tab discarding is the WORST change Google has ever done to Chrome. Has anyone else complained? Other browsers do not run well on Chromebooks so we stuck with Chrome.

doesnt work at all
I was having major issues on my chromebook lately with tabs automatically reloading, and I finally realized what it's doing. It's all related to tab discarding. Every 10 minutes it will refresh all my tabs and even apps. It was even interrupting my music playing and file uploading which is a huge problem. Glad I found this extension, I can't live without it now. This is the worst feature I've ever seen in Chrome, they need to stop this.
