Please note to use this extension features, you HAVE to click on the extension icon to activate the "auto text expander" feature on the website you are on. This is to prevent our script from running automatically on all websites you visit.
This protects your privacy and ensures your browsing history/keyboard typing history etc is NOT sent to external third party websites. Other competitor text expander software scripts "run on all websites" and you have to trust them to ensure they are not sending this information back to their servers etc. For our extension, it is impossible for us to track your keystrokes because the software only works when you click on the extension icon.

update completely changed how it works. terrible! I use this to login to websites. it will expand the URL but WILL NOT expand the password when the website prompts for the password. it used to work for this purpose for years. can this be fixed? I see many others are having difficulty with this update. of no use to me if this facility is lost
I used this tool every SINGLE DAY till the change this morning NOW NONE OF MY STUFF WORKS AND IT WONT LET ME CHANGE ANYTHING BECAUSE IT SAYS THERE ARE DUPLICATES WHEN THERE ARE NONE ! IF IT WOULD JUST TELL ME WHAT IS STOPPING IT I WOULD BE ABLE TO FIX IT BUT IT JUST TELLS ME THERE IS A DUPLICATE AND NOT WHAT THE DUPLCATES ARE

with the new update it does not take capital letters into account so now i have to adjust all of my shortcuts and re-learn them. It also does not work in Rich-text editors so it is useless for me now

It deleted my 300 shorcuts after the update, I got fired from my job
Update: I had to edit my review because everything is working well again. I'm still deducting one star off because the extension stopped working for two days. During that time, I had to create a manual backup and switch to another extension, which cost me time and effort. That said, I understand this is a free extension, and sometimes users expect more than what is being provided at no cost. Now that the issue has been fixed, everything is working properly again. I would just ask the developer to thoroughly test updates before releasing them. When an extension stops working or data gets deleted, users can lose a lot of hard work. Other than that, everything is working well now.
