I wonder how many of those giving low reviews took the time to read up on the change and see the changes were basically forced by Google? So many were no doubt happy to take this guys hard work, only to **** on him the moment there's an issue beyond his control! He is working to address the issues

RIP one of the best extension I have ever used.
This app was good 5 years ago. Nowadays, it's not good anymore. 1. It doesn't have the option to save grouped tabs. Most web explorers have grouped tabs now. 2. It can't manage saved sessions properly because it lacks a lot of features to facilitate moving tabs, updating them, etc. 3. It has very basic features, and fails to compete with other managers out there like TabManager.io. It fell behind by a mile.
Was great, got updated and is improving again. I'm sure it will be great again soon.
HOW TO RESTORE TO V3!! Search for "Session Buddy Update Is A Complete Mess", open the first reddit thread then scroll way down until you find the comment with the guide from the user AquaVixen. You're welcome!
