I re-enabled this very useful extension. Version 3.1.2 doesn't require unacceptable permissions anymore. It is *really* a nice extension, but if those rights come back, I'm afraid I will have to disable it again. Who cares if I do so? Nobody. It's my own decision. Maybe I am too cautious. But with all those apps requesting all those rights nowdays - even on mobile phones - one can not be careful enough. So maybe I am not alone with my concerns. By the way: It was a rather irritating experience to notice that there are currently no real alternatives to Session Buddy. That's good for this extension. Please don't overload it with features that will require higher rights. Don't bloat your software - better do a new project ;)
Thanks for reverting the new permissions. It does look like they were to be benign. But to most the change was very worrisome. The coming bookmark functionality does sound very good.
I loved it for ages. I don't even remember how long I have been using and loving this extension. Unfortunately, they changed it and now it wants to be able to read and modify my bookmarks, something it never needed to do before. I am spending my day today looking for a new program to manage my sessions with. I am very, very disappointed.
Updated due to permissions being reverted for the time being. To those who look at the code and say "aw it's not doing anything bad with that permission", once the permission is granted, they can change that any time and you are screwed.
Why does this now need access to my copy/paste data? If you want to have your extension require more security/privacy access at least explain what you're doing with that information. I've been using this for a year and have really liked it but I'm finding an alternative until this is sorted out. Edit: Bumped back up to 4 stars as the security concern has been removed. Great app. Simple to use.
The new version become so terrible to use, the tabs are always in wrong orders, it also show all windows which originally windows minimized will remain the same.
Good extention. But why oh why it requires "Access data you copy and paste" permission"?! Sounds invasive to me. Removing.
2012.12.31 update has gone too far with all of the data it wants access to. TYVM for all of the past work. Please reconsider the privacy intrusion. Off in search of (ISO) replacement.
Why the extension needs the data you copy and paste??
