What's New in 3.0:
==================
* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

The fact that I need to install this after over a decade of using backspace on browsers warrants Google's fix a 1-star rating. Google really should have instead put this as a box to check in native Chrome settings.
It restores the function, but I keep needing to turn it off and back on depending on the page I am on. It goes back a page on flash games that I lose progress on where the backspace key would normally be able to remove text. It has similar issues with certain web documents that were never present with Chrome before backspace was turned into an extension. This needs to be reconfigured to work better with flash games that use text fields in the flash program itself and document editing.
Works as it should
Doesn't work
Works on almost all websites. However sometimes it doesnt work when in a fullscreen video player.
This outright didn't work on sites I use. No idea why it was changed.
Does not work on all pages
works great in laptop mode, but when flipped into tablet mode, the backspace button will not go back.
Does not work!
