What's New in 3.0:
==================
* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME ????? I've been using this feature for more than 10years and you remove it without any notice. This is the worst UX decision I've ever seen! And we need an extension to get it back ?? wtf ! SHAME ON YOU !
I shouldn't have to use an extension to keep my shortcuts the way they have ALWAYS been. really? you change them without even giving me an option to set it myself? what are you? the government?
My rating is based on the fact that I shouldn't need an extension to use backspace as a back button, this should really be a preference in settings. I'm about to resort to using IE and no one wants to do that... come on Google. But the extension does serve it's purpose so whatever.
fscking trash. simply does NOT work, and we shouldnt have friggin needed it in the first place. WAY TO GO GOOGLE!
I rarely write reviews, but I need to mention it here. Since this extension is being offered by google which started the original problem this extension is fixing, i'm going to rate it 1.
Poor effort. Doesn't work within chrome:// URIs. Why not just make it a user preference, instead of a half-baked javascript injection?
You shouldn't have removed the backspace function.
Extension seems to work fine. I thought Windows did an update until I Googled it and saw it was Chrome. UNACCEPTABLE to remove such a basic feature known in all major browsers. First Lenovo removed the back and fwd keys on the thinkpads, and then Chrome removed the backspace feature. I almost lost it. We are computer power users! Quit taking away our features!!
This shouldn't even exist. This extension fixes a problem google created when they removed basic functionality from the web browser.
Just installed and it seems to work fine. The reason I want this functionality back is because command+arrow (Mac) is already a shortcut on another program I have, switching between desktops. So I suddenly found myself without ANY useable shortcuts to go back a page. At least there's a fix for this one; so often developers change things, assuming people prefer excitement over stability, and you're just stuck.
