What's New in 3.0:
==================
* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

This should be built in NOT an extension, this IS WASTEFUL
Shouldn't have been removed in the first place. Give us an option and get rid of this extension taking up more of my RAM.
Sweet Jesus. For the love of Zeus thank god. This does what the devs should have implemented in the first freaking place. Good god, I understand design decisions have to be made, but the thinking behind this one completely eludes me. You really don't realize how much you use backspace to go back until its functionality is neutered for no real purpose.
It works and it's perfect!
Changing this functionality so far into Chrome's existence was a pretty dumb move in the first place. At least there's an extension. Too bad the shortcut won't be something I can rely upon whenever I'm using Chrome on someone else's computer.
It would be better if you provide an option directly on chrome and not with an extension.
Finally, I already lost all hope to get my Backspace back. Alt-Space with the MS Natural Keyboard 4000 is a PITA. Backspace FTW!
Having to find, download and install an extension for something that should clearly have been an option is ridiculous. Now my browser bar has a stupid icon which is taking up space! Face Palm moment Google!
Works really well. Thanks for bringing this feature back in an official extension. (I would have switched browsers otherwise.)
