After a month or two of receiving pop-ups, I finally dedicated 2 hours deactivating each extension one at a time to figure out which one was causing pop-ups while visiting any shopping site. Turns out this was it. Someone else noticed below to which the creator responded, "We want to clarify that our extension does not redirect users to any scam websites." Maybe not scam websites, but definitely spam websites. My guess is he wasn't making enough money off the extension so he added ads to it. Entirely ironic given what the extension is supposed to do.
This thing was great and the guy used to update constantly but from three weeks ago I noticed some channels play ads and some don't. I updated and reinstalled this app and still I'm getting ads. Now today it's not working at all. Edit: I installed "Adblock for Twitch" and uBlock Origin and they're working just fine. I reinstalled this one and it's actually GIVING you ads! Uninstall it and report it for abuse!!!
It barely works on most channels and will always spam its own ad every time you open Twitch or press refresh. Don't use this one; find another.

Update: It's stopped working on the channels I follow. Review downgraded to 1 star and am moving to another app. Had been working fine, but now when I load Twitch, it goes to a black screen and idles when trying to load the channel. I purposefully have removed all previous ad blockers because it's easy to run into issues when you have multiple extensions running at the same time, so I know it's just this app that's been acting up. I gave 4 stars because this guy does work on the app to make sure it's working properly. Just because it bugs out or stops functioning properly doesn't mean it sucks or he sucks. All software needs periodic updating. Furthermore, Twitch also updates their software to circumvent extensions like this, so keep that in mind when you review.

That extension was great but now it's trying to redirect you to some scam websites, thank god I have uBlock activated so these sites are blocked. To stop the extension from doing that, open it, click on the cog wheel, then disable their new eco mode. Then open your extension page, open the options for TTV Adblock Plus, change "Allow on all sites" to "Specific site only" and add "https://www.twitch.tv/". Now you'll be fine. Shame on these devs.
