Update, near on a scam ad-on now, turns back on affiliate links every update and doesnt even block ads. best removed or disable till fixed. New weirdly name and described 'Eco mode' basically makes them track other sites that are NOT Twitch and makes money from you under the guise of 'saving the planet' They claim they don't track you but then state they do on over 100k 'partner websites' To stop this 'feature', go into Extension settings and change the setting 'allow on all sites' to only allow on 'https://www.twitch.tv/'. Fixes the issues completely, extension doesnt need access to any other sites.

AVOID - The previous review about the new permissions is accurate. It is a very default wordpress page created on Aug 29th, 2024, yet the homepage claims "94782 Kg of CO2 offset thanks to your visits to our partners". It is clear this extension was HACKED or COMPROMISED. Uninstall and do not accept the new permissions. It is likely collecting data on you for any page you visit and will likely attempt to phish or scam you with page injection or popups in the future. UNINSTALL and REPORT as "Felt suspicious". Google will investigate.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, it just force opened my browser whilst I was doing something and said "Keep using our extension with new features unlocked by simply allowing additional permissions. Learn more." with the 'Learn more' being hyperlinked, so I clicked that expecting it to say what permissions it needed and why, instead it goes to a page talking about "Plant For Free" some sort of tree planting initiative, it gives no information on what permissions it needed or why and so I declined, this resulted in the message "Too bad... Maybe next time!" with a button to 'Close this message' (aka close the browser) but what I thought was odd is that it also had a 5 second countdown before it automatically closed the message, I screenshotted both of these pop-ups and upon further inspection I realised that my adblocker (uBlock Origin) had been DISABLED on the browser window it had opened, these are all causes for concern, I've not had something forcibly open my browser without my permission in years, screw that, once again AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Edit- I've removed the extension and reported it for being suspicious, I highly suggest anyone else do the same. Edit 2- upon further inspection of the "Plant For Free" website it seems incredibly dubious, for starters the main page is so bland and devoid of information it looks like it was created by a 12 year old in school, the 'learn more' section has this to say regarding 'respect of your privacy' "This service does not retain any information or data, ensuring 100% compliance with GDPR laws. We understand that trust is earned, and our commitment to transparency through this charter, along with our confidentiality policy, is crucial to our success and growth. You can rely on us to consistently uphold these standards!" what is their 'confidentiality policy' I hear you ask? Well, I have no idea because they don't tell you, once again the whole thing STINKS of dodgy dealings, there's no terms of service, no legal jargon anywhere, nothing about their privacy/confidentiality policies, so much for their 'commitment to transparency' A V O I D Edit 3- I pasted the link to the aforementioned "Plant For Free" website to a friend just to get his reaction at how ridiculously suspicious it looks and the preview for the page pops up with a gmail address for some odd reason, upon searching for this address ([email protected]) guess what comes up? Yep, THIS EXTENSION, so this dodgy looking site isn't just affiliated with this extension, it's quite literally ran and owned by the very same person who makes this extension, once again please please pleaseeeeeeee uninstall and report this extension or simply avoid it, there's clearly some dodgy data mishandling going on.
