This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

perfect just perfect its simple easy to use and able to customize DONATE TO THIS GUY
Perfect. I get the Black contrast where I want it but the images are not getting the same high Contrast affect and being washed out. Just what I was looking for. Other High Contrast extensions tend to wash out the images.
I was using a CSS editor with a custom dark skin for mostly every site I visited, this is way cleaner and smoother than what I had prior. I hope its at least as secure.
Using it for PDF files, only thing that wasn't dark in my browser, awesome extension.
Best extension I've used so far!
I really wanted to like this but unfortunately it disobeys the exceptions it claims you can make. :/ The biggest dealbreaker being images, where even after I put things like img and various background-image permutations in the global exceptions it still disobeys and continues to do the unwanted inversions. :/
worked on 7 out of (the 8 websites I tested). it seems the limitation to this app is when the page is already dark. It inverted the white text and used a black background. so you could only see the images. all in all- a great extention (I just wish it turned on by default)
This should be the default look for all content on the Internet. You idiots. White backgrounds are for paper only. When the monitor is lit up, it only makes logical and common sense to have grey text on a black background. Really, people are you all that sheepish and stupid that you can't adapt?
I like your add, I always use dark reader on nigth.
