This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

this extension is a LIFESAVER... due to the long hours I spend working looking at a computer monitor, I started developing light sensitivity which made it difficult to look at the monitor for long periods of time. This extension made a world of a difference and will help prevent my eye from straining like it did before! The quick site exceptions list is also an awesome feature for sites I use that are already dark.
Excellent addon. And when Chrome broke it, the Dark Reader devs provided a link to an older, working version.

After a recent update, screen just goes black on most websites. Saves my eyes but unable to see the website! The screen flickers when I move my mouse around. Also this extension uses a lot of resources. I swear if the author is mining Monero with my computer's resources... EDIT: Just use the static theme, as the author has mentioned in comments, works pretty good, this should be the default setting.
This was working perfectly until recently. Now it no longer works on my macbook. If I connect an external monitor, it then works. I have updated my chrome version, but issue persists. Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the entension. Does anyone know how to resolve?
