This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

Loved the extension I have seen many people are wanting a switch between using gpt search and google so I have downloaded the extension and have made the neccessary changes. If you want to check if out you can goto my github. https://github.com/vibheksoni/ChatGPT-search
Wish I could toggle between a google search and a ChatGPT search being default. E.g., setting google as default, but typing in !c or similar at the start of a query to get ChatGPT results.
Its interesting, I wish i could toggle between googling and chatgpt'ing with a quick shortcut. In my mind I'm mainly asking two types of questions, "What website can i go to to accomplish a certain action" with queries like "Yankees tickets" or "presidential betting odds". Chat GPT is unable to solve my problem faster than a google search, most of the times it doesnt solve it at all. There are a bunch of cases where I need an answer to a specific question, "artichoke steaming instructions" or "prisma unique together constraint" where chat GPT is by far the best. Search is a hard nut to crack! I do think if you guys get this right it'll be huge!

It's dope. Not sure what the others are on about. One shortcoming for now is that although it shows results like google on the right side of the interface, it does not seem to work with / integrate other chrome extensions. For example, I have one that rates each result according to its bias and ideological tendencies. In chrome, the results show up with tags on them with this information. The information is gone in the chatgpt interface. I assume it's possible to make them "talk" to each other, since it's all happening in chrome, but it's not a function at this time, it seems.
