Fable now has a Chrome Browser Extension that will easily allow you to add books to your lists. This feature can be helpful to add books that may be missing in the Fable catalog or to add books to your Fable reading lists.
Note: The Chrome Extension is still in beta. Currently this feature works on individual book pages that include an ISBN or ASIN.
To use the browser extension
1. In your browser go to https://fable.co
2. Login to your Fable account
3. Visit a book page of a book you wish to add to your list.

I can't upload some books. It just says to try again, it's been few weeks already. How can I fix this?
I was scared of getting it because of the negative reviews, as some others, but it's very easy to use with goodreads. I'm not sure what is making it unusable for others, but it works perfectly for me. Literally 30 seconds to add books (I'm adding my Hungarian language reads)
Não funciona.
Doesn't work too well for japanese books on other sides than goodreads. Also, choosing a list except the pre-made ones like "want to read" etc. does not work as they don't appear and can't be scrolled down to, or rather it appears when zooming out of the page to 75%. Other than that, very useful so far.
Thank god for the reviews, only worked for me on Amazon...
using this is too complicated and totally not intuitive for a user
I was worried about trying it because of all the negative reviews, but I literally had zero issues. I downloaded the extension, made sure I was signed into the website like another review suggested, went to amazon to search the book and when I was on the book, I clicked the extension and it found the book and let me add it in under 30 seconds. Maybe they had issues because they tried it on Goodreads? Regardless, it worked great for me and if I find another book that isn't on Fable yet I know that it isn't much of a hassle to add books.
The reviews make it seem like the scary part is getting it to recognise the book, thats not the real problem, there is an easy solution to that problem (refreshing the page until it works). The true nightmare is getting your account to load when you don't regularly use it on your browser. Please do yourself a favour and get that set up first before attempting this.
worked for me! just needed to refresh the Goodreads page a few times
Followed all instructions, doesn't work. Don't really understand why there isn't a setting in-app to add books from ISBN anyway
