As an individual who only gives my honest review, I must do the same even with apps and extensions that I like (as with ones I also dislike). In the past I was a mostly google user and that was my go-to especially for searching. When I purchased an HP laptop (Which comes with Microsoft software and apps) I gave Microsoft Edge a try. Honestly, it took some getting used to and I found many things I disagreed with (But that's for another review). I came across the Microsoft Bing Rewards app and extension and realized that I could get rewards just for doing something I do every day. I search A LOT of things every day as I love to learn. I began to enjoy using Edge and Bing for the most part and began to learn how to get the results I wanted. I always loved the idea of getting points to exchange for rewards primarily for searching. But wait, you don't just get points for searching, there are other ways to get points especially with the extension. You can take quizzes, polls, cash back on purchases, and more to earn points daily. It's not like i'm doing a painfully boring task to get these points either. I enjoy the tasks to get points, which I can't say about many of the other rewards apps and sites that I have used. I can't remember if I have cashed out for a gift card already, but I have opted to donate some of my points to charity and donations (Which is an option when you opt to redeem your rewards). I have a lot of points but saving for either a $50 dollar Amazon, Walmart gift card (There are many to choose from!), or a large discount on expensive technology. The only things I dislike really, is it takes a while to get enough points to redeem for a reward (since it's something i'm doing anyways, I don't mind but it's worth noting). I do think there could be more ways to earn though. I'm not the type to tell people what they should or shouldn't do especially without giving options. A couple ideas I have are: "Easter egg hunts" (Certain sites and/or searches that reward large or small bonus points (I mean like 50-500), Writing honest Microsoft reviews (Not just positive ones either), and downloading certain apps via the Microsoft store. Hope my review helps those deciding whether to add the extension or make a decision on using Bing! Rewards.
