Font Fingerprint Defender is a lite extension that let you easily hide your real font fingerprint by reporting a random fake value and protect your privacy.
This add-on does NOT block the fingerprint, instead, it simply adds a small noise to the actual fingerprint and "renews" it every time you visit a website or reload a page. It is important to note that, this add-on does not have any settings or options to adjust. Simply add it to your browser and start surfacing the internet. If you want to test this add-on, please visit a website that show your fingerprint (i.e. webbrowsertools.com/font-fingerprint/). Every time you reload the page, you will see a new fake fingerprint.
This extension is made in collaboration with the author of "Canvas Fingerprint Defender":

Note 1: depending on your browser and platform, you may need to (Shift+Refresh) a web page to renew Font fingerprint.
Note 2: To report bugs, please visit addon's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/font-defender.html) and fill the bug report form.

This is awesome for privacy and doesn't let businesses track you based on the fonts you have installed.
breaks this site: https://www.online-stopwatch.com/timer/6minute/ it makes the font very small, i deleted the extension and it fixed it.
I don't know if it's by design but it broke Discord scrolling so bad.
Ваше расширение ломает работу с https://discord.com/app Когда ты лисаешь чат, его не возможно листать, откидывает назад, без этого расширения чат нормально листается
Works, but breaks css on some websites (for example gazeta.ru). Would be nice to have an option to whitelist particular sites.
Does what it claims to in the most convenient way possible.
works fine
This extension works really well and it's easy to use. Thanks to the developer!
Does exactly what it should do and claims it does. Tested at https://browserleaks.com/fonts and it spoofed both forms of font fingerprinting. I like that this is a one-exploit fix [well, TECHNICALLY it's two in this case] instead of a plugin claiming to spoof all forms of user fingerprinting, since new methods of that come up all the time. It's better to be certain that you have a particular weakness patched up because you have an extension that corresponds to it exactly, than to go without preventing a leak because you assumed it was included in some catchall extension but it wasn't. PS: Anyone who cannot figure out that they can click on the extension's icon and pick "Show|Hide desktop notifications" simply doesn't DESERVE to use this extension. Heh. Really, the developer should just turn this option off by default in this entire series of fingerprint defender extensions, since it's obviously the only thing causing unhappy feedback about any of them.
